The family of the Binance executive detained in Nigeria suspects he has malaria
ChainCatcher news, according to CoinDesk, Binance's compliance officer Tigran Gambaryan remains detained in Nigeria, as his family representative told CoinDesk that he is suspected of having malaria.
It is reported that Tigran Gambaryan collapsed in a Nigerian court on May 24.
"Although Judge Emeka Nwite issued a court order on May 23, Tigran Gambaryan has still not been transferred from Kuje prison to a hospital," said Tigran Gambaryan's family representative. "There has not yet been a formal determination of what illness he has, as the medical facilities at Kuje prison are inadequate. It is suspected that he may have a severe throat infection and malaria."
