The token for Ethereum L2 Taiko is expected to launch a few weeks after going live on the mainnet
ChainCatcher news, the rollup Taiko mainnet based on Ethereum has been launched. Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin proposed the first block on the Taiko mainnet, whose metadata includes the names of each Taiko core contributor.
The Taiko token is expected to launch a few weeks after the mainnet goes live, and Taiko also plans to introduce a points incentive program called Trailblazers, which aims to attract community participation by rewarding the community for completing tasks and interacting with the network.
According to the Web3 asset data platform RootData, Taiko is a decentralized Ethereum equivalent (Type-1) ZK-VM and general ZK-Rollup Layer 2 network. Its goal is to allow Ethereum L1 dApp developers and users to deploy and use on Taiko without any changes and friction, while maximizing the inheritance of Ethereum's security, providing faster speeds and lower transaction fees than L1.
