ChainCatcher news, Standard Chartered Bank's Head of Foreign Exchange and Digital Asset Research Geoffrey Kendrick stated that after the recent approval of the Ethereum spot ETF, other cryptocurrency ETFs may be approved in 2025. Kendrick pointed out that the approval of the Ethereum ETF suggests that ETH and similar tokens are not considered securities by the SEC. He believes that, given the core technology in multiple cases is very similar to ETH, the SEC will find it difficult to claim they are securities. Kendrick expects the dominance of Bitcoin and Ethereum to rise, especially in terms of Sharpe ratio. He reiterated that a Bitcoin spot ETF will bring significant capital inflows, with BTC prices expected to reach $150,000 by the end of the year. He also anticipates that the Ethereum ETF will bring in $15-45 billion in its first year of listing, with ETH prices expected to reach $8,000 by the end of the year.
