Tigran Gambaryan did not immediately approach the defendant's seat when the case was opened; he was sitting in the back row and walked towards the defendant's seat with the assistance of his lawyer, but fainted on the way and could only sit in the front row. His lawyer informed the court about his client's deteriorating health condition and submitted a written application to notify the court of his illness.
Judge Nwite ruled that Gambaryan should receive treatment at a hospital recommended by his lawyer or another hospital designated by the prison authorities. The trial has been postponed to June 20 and 21 to allow Gambaryan to receive treatment.
