Grayscale and Fidelity have removed the staking plan in their latest Ethereum spot ETF application

ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, based on a revised preliminary proxy statement, Grayscale has removed staking-related content from its proposed Ethereum spot ETF application. In a previous document, Grayscale had suggested to investors that Ethereum could be staked through the trust. However, this wording is absent in the revised preliminary proxy statement submitted by Grayscale on Tuesday. Other issuers, including Fidelity, have also taken similar actions.

Additionally, according to documents from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Fidelity's updated version of the Ethereum spot ETF S-1 application submitted to the SEC shows that Fidelity has withdrawn its plan to stake Ethereum (ETH) holdings in its proposed ETF.
