ChainCatcher message, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin stated on social media: "We need an open decentralized (no operators, no management) protocol for quickly transferring assets from one L2 to another and integrating it into the default sending interface of wallets. But before getting too attached to any fancy toys, let's do the foundational work first."

He also added: "I think we need to establish an 'Infrastructure Guild' in addition to the 'Protocol Guild.' It can cover advanced programming languages, L2 token bridging protocols, ZK-EVMs (Zero-Knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machines), light clients, portal networks, and their extensions. Anything that does not involve tokens, operators, and governance, but is not part of L1, is valuable content within the entire ecosystem."
