Coinbase: This week's brief outage was caused by an error related to the Coinbase Card rewards service, not a security issue

ChainCatcher news, Coinbase Support posted on X platform that earlier this week the platform experienced a brief outage caused by an error related to the Coinbase Card rewards service. Due to this bug, some Coinbase Card users saw incorrect points displayed in their accounts.

All customers' funds are safe. This was not caused by any security issue. The team will continue to work on mitigating such issues in the future.
