Data: Morgan Stanley announces a $270 million GBTC position, making it one of the largest holders of GBTC
ChainCatcher news, according to CryptoSlate, Morgan Stanley disclosed in its Q1 13F filing with the SEC that it invested $269.9 million in a spot Bitcoin ETF through Grayscale's GBTC. According to data from Fintel, this investment makes it one of the largest holders of GBTC, following Susquehanna International Group, which invested $1 billion.
Morgan Stanley is also one of the many globally systemically important banks (G-SIB) that have disclosed investments in spot Bitcoin ETFs, including other banks such as Royal Bank of Canada, JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo, BNP Paribas, and UBS Group.
