Ant Group's new progress in going overseas has improved the ZK computing performance of Delphinus Lab by over 20%. The zkWASM technology enables developers to use their preferred programming languages to create zero-knowledge (ZK) applications and deploy them in environments that support WebAssembly (WASM), further enhancing the security and privacy of the applications.

On May 14, the zkWASM open-source community Delphinus Lab announced an upgrade to its ZK (Zero-Knowledge Proof) acceleration service. After introducing the hardware-software integrated acceleration solution from the ZAN team, GPU computing performance has improved by over 20%, setting a record for similar services in the community, which will help enhance the product experience for developers.

Zero-Knowledge Proof is a common cryptographic technique that allows one to prove that a statement is true without revealing specific information. In the blockchain field, zero-knowledge proof technology is widely used in scenarios such as identity verification, anti-cheating in games, smart contract execution, and Rollup, enhancing the privacy and security of communications. However, the high complexity of computations restricts the processing speed of blockchain platforms and increases the consumption of computational resources.

"The relationship between ZK and GPU computing efficiency is like 'running with a steel helmet'; if the proof speed cannot be effectively improved, the performance of many on-chain applications will be limited," said Sinka, founder of Delphinus Lab. "ZK acceleration has become a mainstream demand for Web3 developers, and we hope to continue providing leading technical services to community members in collaboration with ZAN."

It is understood that the GPU acceleration library from ZAN's technical team accelerates and optimizes commonly used operators in zero-knowledge proofs, including Multi-Scalar Multiplication (MSM), Number Theoretic Transform (NTT), H-Polynomial solving, and Polynomial Opening Proofs, fully utilizing the computational resources, storage bandwidth, and PCIe bandwidth of GPUs, resulting in a significant improvement in computational efficiency.

Delphinus Lab is an infrastructure provider that has realized the industry's first open-source zkWASM virtual machine. The zkWASM technology enables developers to create zero-knowledge (ZK) applications using their preferred programming languages and deploy them in WebAssembly (WASM) supported environments to further protect the security and privacy of applications.

ZAN is Ant Group's one-stop technical service platform for Web3 overseas, with products including eKYC (digital identity verification), KYT (transaction risk control), smart contract auditing, and node services. Its ZK acceleration-related technical solutions have been selected for the "International Conference on Integrated Circuit Design DAC 2024" and can be applied in fields such as trusted AI inference and Layer2 proofs, effectively improving the efficiency of zero-knowledge proof computations.
