Indonesian authorities dismantle synthetic marijuana lab that used cryptocurrency for raw material payments
ChainCatcher news, according to CoinDesk, Indonesian police dismantled a laboratory producing fake cannabis in a high-end area of Bogor Regency, West Java last week.
Jakarta Police Deputy Chief Suyudi Ario Seto revealed that the raw materials for these fake cannabis were paid for with cryptocurrency, although it is currently unclear what the proportion is. The laboratory produced MDMB-4en-PINACA, a synthetic chemical similar to cannabis, which is classified as a serious drug under Ministry of Health Regulation No. 30 of 2023. The criminal gang had been operating for six months before being arrested last week.
