ChainCatcher news, Bitcoin custody company Casa co-founder Jameson Lopp stated that due to factors such as the "block storm," the Bitcoin testnet occasionally produces over 10,000 blocks in a single day, leading to the current block height of 2,811,000 on the testnet, equivalent to the height of the Bitcoin mainnet in 2061. As a result, miner rewards on the testnet have decreased to nearly zero, making the network almost unusable for developers.

Jameson Lopp suggested that Bitcoin developers and users migrate their infrastructure to "testnet4" in the coming months.
