About one-third of the local councils in the country voted on Thursday, with over 2,600 seats up for grabs. BBC data shows that in 40 out of 107 councils, the Labour Party won 360 council seats, gaining 62 seats, while the Conservative Party lost 147 seats, totaling 129 seats, falling behind the Liberal Democrats.
