## 1. Address Data

1. Top 3 L2 Projects by On-chain Address Count

The ranking of on-chain address counts in April is as follows:

  • Optimism: 138 million
  • Base: 71.9 million
  • Arbitrum: 22.3 million

2. Daily New Address Count

Optimism reached a historical peak in daily new address counts on certain days—over 450,000 new addresses added daily.

Meanwhile, Arbitrum and Base also experienced significant growth in the latter part of the month.

3. Monthly Growth Rate of New Addresses

The highest monthly growth rate among top L2s in April was Blast, with a monthly growth rate of 42%.

4. Total New Addresses Added in the Month

Optimism continued to maintain its dominance, with the highest number of new addresses created this month, reaching 3.4 million.

Following closely are Base (2.8 million new addresses) and Arbitrum (2.5 million new addresses).

## 2. Transaction Count

1. Daily Transaction Count

At the beginning of this month, Linea recorded an astonishing daily transaction count—over 4.6 million transactions on April 1, but it gradually declined thereafter.

2. Monthly Growth Rate of Transaction Count

The highest monthly growth rate of transaction counts among top L2s in April was Blast, reaching 112%.

3. Total Transaction Count

In April, opBNB's total transaction count set a historical record, reaching nearly 146 million transactions.

The top three popular projects this month: opBNB, Base, Arbitrum.

## 4. Capital Inflow/Outflow

1. Top 4 L2 Protocols by On-chain TVL

This month, there were significant changes in on-chain capital flow—Blast and Base alternated in the second position, both trailing behind Arbitrum in terms of TVL.

2. TVL Growth Data

Arbitrum's TVL decreased by over $371 million, while Base's monthly revenue grew by 24%, exceeding $284 million.

Additionally, both Mode and Linea's TVL doubled.

3. Cross-chain Deposit Data

Throughout April, Arbitrum maintained the highest daily cross-chain deposits among L2 solutions, averaging over $10.5 billion daily.

4. Net Inflow/Outflow

The total net inflow/outflow of L2 platforms in April is shown in the figure below, with the highest inflow being zkSync ($265 million) and the highest outflow being Optimism ($579 million).

## 5. TVL Ranking by Category

1. TVL Ranking by Category—Arbitrum

The top three sectors with the highest TVL on Arbitrum: Lending, DEX, and Derivatives.

Starting from mid-April, a new sector, Restaking, emerged, with TVL nearing $9 million by the end of the month.

2. TVL Ranking by Category—Blast

Blast's TVL saw significant changes, mainly influenced by the lending sector. Other sectors within the Blast ecosystem have not shown significant fluctuations.

In April, the TVL in the DEX sector of Base increased by over $233 million, driving the overall TVL growth of the Base ecosystem.

1. Newly Issued NFTs On-chain

At the beginning of April, Linea led other L2 solutions with over 2 million new NFTs issued daily.

However, this number significantly declined shortly thereafter, with Base leading at an average of over 454,000 new NFTs issued daily.

2. Total New NFTs Added by Chain

Base is far ahead, with a total of 14 million new NFTs minted.

The most significant growth in L2 is reflected in Base: 2.8 million new addresses created, 83 million transactions conducted, TPS peaked at a historical high of 36.99 on April 8, and TVL increased by $284 million (attributed to growth in the DEX sector).

Other noteworthy L2 platforms in April include:

  • Blast saw significant growth in both total unique addresses and transaction counts (+42% and +112%);
  • Linea showed significant trading activity in the first week and led in the total number of NFTs created, but data declined in the following weeks.
