CertiK: April's losses in the crypto sector hit a record low

ChainCatcher news, according to the latest data from blockchain security company CertiK, the losses of crypto assets due to hacking, exploitation, and fraud in April amounted to approximately 25.7 million dollars, marking a historical low since the company began tracking related data in 2021.

CertiK pointed out that the total losses of crypto assets in April decreased by 141% compared to the previous month. Among them, exit scams caused losses of about 4.3 million dollars, flash loans resulted in losses of approximately 129,000 dollars, while contract vulnerability attacks led to losses of around 21 million dollars.

According to previous statistics from blockchain security company Immunefi, in the first quarter of 2024, the crypto industry lost a total of 336 million dollars due to hacking and fraud. In the entire year of 2023, the total amount of crypto funds stolen by hackers was approximately 1.8 billion dollars, which is half of the 4 billion dollars from the previous year.
