Pike: USDC mining pool hacked, nearly 300,000 USDC stolen
ChainCatcher news, the cross-chain lending protocol Pike Finance officially announced on social media that the USDC mining pool on the Pike Beta test version was hacked at 8:13 AM Beijing time on April 26, resulting in the theft of 299,127 USDC.
It is reported that the root cause of this incident was a forged CCTP message that led to the depletion of USDC on the Ethereum, Arbitrum, and Optimism chains, while USDC and other assets on the Base chain were unaffected. The team has temporarily suspended the protocol's functions and is working with two auditing partners to address the vulnerability, as well as proposing a plan to ensure that all affected users will be restored soon.
