ChainCatcher news, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York announced that Instagram influencer Jebara Igbara (also known as Jay Mazini) has been sentenced to 84 months in prison by U.S. District Judge Frederic Block for executing multiple fraud schemes totaling at least $8 million.

It is reported that Jebara Igbara carried out scams targeting members of the Muslim American community in New York through his company Halal-Capital LLC, posting cryptocurrency prices on Instagram and other social platforms that were above market value, and sending modified wire transfer receipt images, implying that he had made the transfers. However, he never actually sent any money.
