Data: Since its launch, rune trading has accounted for 68% of all Bitcoin transactions

ChainCatcher news, Bitcoin's new token standard Runes has accounted for more than two-thirds of Bitcoin's trading volume since the network halving event on April 20.

According to data shared by blockchain research firm Crypto Koryo via the Dune Analytics dashboard, the Bitcoin network has processed over 2.38 million Runes transactions, making up 68% of all Bitcoin transactions since the launch on April 20. Regular Bitcoin peer-to-peer transactions, BRC-20, Ordinals, and Runes are all included in the total transaction count.

Additionally, Runes experienced its highest trading volume day on April 23, with over 750,000 transactions, but the following day saw a reduction of more than half, down to 312,000 transactions.
