ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, Worldcoin's main supporters Sam Altman and Alex Blania recently spoke with Malaysian leaders, as the two sought to improve government relations while indicating their commitment to protecting user data and privacy.

According to a post on X, Blania is the chief developer of Worldcoin and the CEO and co-founder of Tools of Humanity.

It is reported that prior to the meeting between the two and Malaysian officials, a series of initiatives seemed aimed at demonstrating that the project is taking issues related to data collection and privacy seriously and is willing to work more closely with regulators and government officials.

Last month, Worldcoin faced two temporary bans, with Spain and Portugal both ordering the project to stop collecting people's personal data.
