ChainCatcher news, mobile communications service company Cape has completed a $40 million Series B funding round, led by A-star and Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from XYZ Ventures, ex/ante, Costanoa Ventures, Point72 Ventures, Forward Deployed VC, and Karman Ventures.

It is reported that Cape is a startup based in Washington, D.C., founded by former Palantir executives. They announced a mobile service aimed at providing a more secure communication experience. The service will be sold on a prepaid model, with the primary goal of providing users with eSIM. CEO John Doyle stated that they will launch commercial services in June.
