Faraway: Acquires two major game IPs "HV-MTL" and "Legends of the Mara" from Yuga Labs

ChainCatcher news, game studio Faraway announced on social media the acquisition of two major game IPs from Yuga Labs, "HV-MTL" and "Legends of the Mara." This acquisition is part of Faraway's strategy to build an interoperable gaming ecosystem, and new point systems and more integrations will be introduced in these two games to further enhance the IPs.

It is reported that the new "HV-MTL Points" and "LoTM Points" will be added to the NFT metadata and will support cross-game interactions within the Faraway network. Additionally, Faraway announced the appointment of Web3 gaming veteran Spencer Tucker as Chief Product Officer.

According to crypto data platform RootData, in November 2021, Faraway completed a $21 million Series A funding round, led by FTX and Lightspeed Venture Partners, with participation from a16z, Solana, Jump Capital, Sequoia Capital, and Pantera Capital.
