Musk plans to charge a small fee to new users on X to curb the issue of zombie accounts
ChainCatcher news, Musk stated on social media that he plans to charge a small fee for new users joining the X platform to curb the issue of zombie accounts. Musk pointed out that current artificial intelligence and "troll farms" can easily bypass traditional tools like CAPTCHAs, so he believes charging new users is the only way to prevent bot attacks. He also mentioned that if new users do not pay within three months of creating their accounts, they will be able to post information for free.
In addition, the X platform has begun a large-scale cleanup of spam accounts this month and warned users that their follower counts may be affected.
