Mango Markets attackers may face up to 20 years in prison

ChainCatcher news, according to CoinDesk, cryptocurrency trader Avraham Eisenberg may testify in his criminal commodity fraud and manipulation trial, his defense team said on Thursday. As the case nears its conclusion, they have not yet made a final decision on the matter.

It is reported that Avraham Eisenberg faces three charges related to trading on the DeFi platform Mango Markets in October 2022, and if the jury finds him guilty on all counts, he could face up to 20 years in prison. These trades reportedly earned him various cryptocurrencies worth at least $110 million. Officials are attempting to portray these trades as illegal profits from market manipulation, while the defense claims they are legitimate trading strategies.
