London mayoral candidate proposes to provide each resident with £100 worth of cryptocurrency
ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, the London mayoral candidate plans to offer each resident £100 worth of cryptocurrency, called the LONDON token.
It is reported that the plan will create a £1 billion liquidity pool through a one-time tax on the profits of London financial institutions. The initiative aims to enable the London transport network to accept this new cryptocurrency, which can be used to pay municipal bills, parking fees, and other expenses.
Candidate Brian Rose stated that this will provide London citizens with a real relationship with money and plans to help citizens learn how to manage digital wallets, invest in tokens, and participate in the blockchain economy through a cryptocurrency financial education platform.
