ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, the open-world shooting game MetalCore developed by Studio 369 has launched on the blockchain Immutable zkEVM. MetalCore is the first playable game on Immutable zkEVM. According to the official announcement, the game is currently in its second internal testing phase, which limits the number of players, running from April 9 to April 22. MetalCore is expected to launch its public beta by the end of 2024. The PC version will be available on the Epic Games Store.

It is reported that MetalCore is a free-to-play game set in the future, where different factions battle in outer space for resources. Users can choose which faction to join and compete against other players or the environment. While players can opt not to use web3 elements, the cryptocurrency MCG is the driving force behind MetalCore. Players can earn MCG and convert it into NFTs. The game also features another in-game currency called "Marks," which can be earned through in-game contracts, social tasks, and participation in the game guild system.

According to the crypto data platform RootData, in March of this year, the blockchain game MetalCore developer Studio 369 announced the completion of a new funding round of $5 million, with participation from Delphi Digital, Bitkraft Ventures, Sanctor Capital, and Spartan Group.
