CertiK: High-risk vulnerability found in Telegram, it is recommended to disable the automatic download feature
ChainCatcher message, security agency CertiK announced on platform X that a high-risk vulnerability has been detected in Telegram, which may lead to remote code execution and malicious attacks through media files. Users should disable the automatic download options for photos, videos, and files in all chat types to prevent potential security threats.
It is reported that the way to turn it off is: Setting -> Advanced -> Automatic media download, turn off automatic download for all three options.
