ChainCatcher news, according to Cointelegraph, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has postponed its decision on whether to allow the New York Stock Exchange to offer Bitcoin spot ETF options trading.

According to a document dated April 8, the SEC's delay will affect options trading for the Bitwise Bitcoin ETF (BITB), Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC), and other Bitcoin-holding trusts listed on the New York Stock Exchange. The securities regulator stated, "The Commission believes that it is necessary to designate a longer period to take action on the proposed rule change in order to have ample time to consider the proposed rule change."

It is reported that the next deadline for the SEC's decision on the proposed rule change by the New York Stock Exchange is May 29, by which time a decision to approve, deny, or postpone must be made.
