The event "Focusing on Web3 Infrastructure, Unlocking New Scenarios for DApp Applications" co-hosted by ChainCatcher, ZAN, and Artela has successfully concluded
On March 26, ChainCatcher, in collaboration with ZAN (a Web3 brand under Ant Group) and Artela, successfully concluded an offline exchange event in Shenzhen themed "Focusing on Web3 Infrastructure, Unlocking New Scenarios for DApp Applications."
The event attracted hundreds of Web3 developers, project parties, and users for observation and learning. ZAN and Artela set up booths at the venue, providing attendees with branded custom clothing, hats, accessories, meals, and other gifts.
At the event, ZAN CTO Ethan, Layer1 public chain Artela CTO CP, UXLINK Co-Founder, and RootData partner Hunter delivered exciting keynote speeches on "Focusing on Web3 Infrastructure, Unlocking New Scenarios for DApp Applications."
The first presentation was on the recent hot topic in the crypto market, "Parallel EVM," delivered by Layer1 public chain Artela CTO CP. He introduced Artela's new technology EVM++ and announced that the Artela ecosystem incentive program, Renaissance Plan, will launch in April.
EVM++ is Artela's upgrade to the next-generation EVM execution layer technology. It unlocks the extensibility and scalability of EVM blockchains through EVM+WASM while supporting EVM parallel execution.
EVM++ aims to expand the boundaries of EVM, allowing existing EVM assets, protocols, and infrastructure to seamlessly connect with new ones, supporting mass adoption applications and accelerating the integration of crypto with mainstream at the application level.
Additionally, Artela has innovated in the infrastructure layer by launching Aspect programming, allowing developers to build EVM+ applications using the EVM+Aspect paradigm, and has developed many creative Aspect extension use cases covering areas such as AIpto, full-chain gaming, DeFi security, and middleware.
As the speech drew to a close, CP announced that the Artela ecosystem incentive program, Renaissance Plan, will launch in April.
Regarding "How can infrastructure assist developers?", ZAN CTO Ethan shared a presentation titled "Customizable Infrastructure Full-Stack Services." He elaborated on how ZAN's series of products developed for developers can help them quickly and cost-effectively build applications, starting from pain points in data security and the development and usage process of Web3 applications.
He pointed out that ZAN aims to help Web3 developers build applications quickly and securely in a low-cost, customizable, and composable manner.
He explained that many project parties currently cannot directly use the chain and require support from various technical service providers. Over the past year, ZAN has served many projects and has deep collaborations with multiple chains.
There are many pain points in the current Web3 application development and product usage process, such as security, privacy, and compliance issues with Web3 wallets, high costs of building and using infrastructure, economic models and performance of contracts, and user experience not being friendly enough.
To address these pain points, ZAN has developed a full-stack Web3 solution for developers, including nodes, data, smart contracts, security, AI models, custom application chains, and ZK acceleration, helping Web3 developers reduce development costs, avoid technical risks, and improve construction efficiency.
Regarding the infrastructure for the Web3 social track, UXLINK Co-Founder Eric shared a presentation titled "UXLINK as Web3 Social Infrastructure Will Become the Growth Engine for Ecological Dapps."
He mentioned that in the past 11 months, UXLINK has achieved excellent results in user growth, with a total user count exceeding 4.7 million, more than 82,000 groups, and a total coverage of 5.9 million users, with users spread across Southeast Asia, Africa, Europe, Japan, and South Korea.
In product design, UXLINK has a hybrid on-chain and off-chain scalable technical architecture (EVM+IPFS+Hubs) to support mass adoption application scenarios, storing identity and relationship data on-chain (currently on Arbitrum) and processing complex business scenario data off-chain to support applications using the UXLINK Protocol. Additionally, UXLINK can provide decentralized storage and centralized data indexing services, mainly involving EVM chains (Ethereum Mainnet, Arbitrum L2 Chain, BNB Chain, Polygon, and Base Chain, etc.).
In the future, as the user base expands and ecological applications develop, UXLINK does not rule out the possibility of building its own dedicated social chain to enhance synergies within the ecosystem.
He also cited an example: Earlybird3 is a "match-3" type Web3 game where users pass levels, upgrade, learn Web3 knowledge, and earn rewards. It integrated with the UXLINK protocol on March 11 and rapidly grew from a few hundred users to over 40,000 in a week.
Finally, Hunter, a partner at the Crypto project data service provider RootData, shared insights on "How to Discover Early Alpha Using RootData After Deep Interaction Between On-Chain and Off-Chain." He introduced RootData as a Web3 asset data platform dedicated to becoming a productivity-level tool for Web3 enthusiasts and investors.
Currently, RootData includes over 11,000 projects, 8,000 individuals, 6,500 investment and financing events, and tens of thousands of physical addresses, presenting massive data in a visual and structured way through tags, ecosystems, and collections, while deeply linking on-chain and off-chain data of Web3 assets, which can help users comprehensively understand the fundamental information of projects, gain multi-dimensional insights, and identify early Alpha. For instance, using RootData, users can filter and query high-quality early-stage unissued token projects or potential projects, or predict market hotspots based on institutional investment and financing data.
After the exciting keynote speeches, the event moved into a roundtable discussion. Special guests, including Rooch Network founder Jolester, ZAN product manager Kverson, Westlabs partner Mark focusing on Web3 infrastructure, Triones Labs co-founder Tiger, and ChainCatcher research and investment head Loners Liu, engaged in a heated discussion and sharing of views on the theme "New Trends and Opportunities in the 2024 Web3 Infrastructure Track," providing a fresh perspective on investment trends in Web3 infrastructure.
Regarding "What new changes and opportunities will the Web3 infrastructure track see in 2024?", WestLabs partner Mark responded that in 2023, WestLabs has already laid out areas such as ZK systems like Mina, AI and storage tracks, Bitcoin ecology, and Layer2. He believes that modularization is a significant narrative, with opportunities in application chainification, game chainification, AI+hardware, Bitcoin ecology, and Cosmos ecology.
ZAN product manager Kverson shared that there will be opportunities in RAAS facilities, and after the Cancun upgrade, the gas fees for Layer2 or Layer3 will be significantly reduced, bringing new opportunities for some applications, such as games being able to build their own dedicated L2 or L3 chains.
When asked about "Which Web3 tracks and products do you personally favor?", the five guests expressed optimism about Bitcoin Layer 2, ZK, Cosmos ecology, Solana ecology, asset issuance protocols, AI GPUs, and DePIN, among others.
In addition, the guests also discussed popular topics such as parallel EVM, modularization, and application chains, receiving unanimous praise from the audience and attracting many users to participate actively.
