ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, reports that Blob transactions on Ethereum have surged beyond the set capacity, and this surge in Blob transactions is related to the introduction of Blob inscriptions.

Analysis from the Dune Analytics dashboard maintained by Hildobby shows a significant trend: now 40% of Blob transactions are related to inscriptions.

According to data from EtherNow, this further highlights the large backlog in the mempool, with 160 blobs waiting to be processed. Ethereum can only include a maximum of 6 blobs per block, indicating that the backlog data is 40 times higher than what a single block can accommodate.

Previously reported, according to The Block, Dune Analytics data shows that Ethereum blobs are being used to create inscriptions at a record pace, similar to Ordinals on Bitcoin.
