Vitalik: Account abstraction is a way to provide security and convenience for blockchain developers and users
ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin stated during a speech at the cryptocurrency conference BUIDL Asia held in Seoul, South Korea, on Wednesday that account abstraction is a way to provide security and convenience for blockchain developers and users.
Vitalik mentioned that modern account abstraction includes other features that enhance security and convenience, which are currently not supported by Ethereum. The security goals include allowing users to change and revoke private keys as well as better account recovery methods, while the convenience goals include enabling users to pay Gas fees with ERC-20 tokens and automating payments. Vitalik also stated, "In the next 10 years, we will truly upgrade the ecosystem at the user level."
Additionally, Vitalik shared his views on the metaverse, stating, "For me, the metaverse is one of those things that is very vaguely defined, and it feels like everyone has this expectation of a virtual world they can all participate in." Vitalik pointed out, "But the challenge is that it is often associated with virtual reality, and with virtual reality, what people really need will ultimately become much simpler."
