ChainCatcher news, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) stated in a filing submitted on Friday that the agency has postponed its decision on whether to approve Grayscale's Ethereum futures ETF application. The new deadline is May 30.

The SEC stated that the commission believes it is appropriate to designate a longer period to decide whether to approve the proposed rule change in order to have sufficient time to consider the proposed rule change and the issues raised therein.

According to previous reports, the U.S. SEC has also delayed its decision on the Ethereum spot ETF applications from Grayscale and BlackRock.
