Why did the Base protocol leader get cut, and why did the ticker go to zero?

BOME's madness has made meme coin presales an acceptable play in the market, but this sales method, which relies heavily on the integrity of the project team, still carries extremely high risks.
Yesterday, a meme called "ticker" launched its presale on Base, allowing each account to send a maximum of 0.1 ETH. It used PartyDAO for fundraising, with over 13,000 participants, including Base protocol leader Jesse Pollak, raising nearly 1,000 ETH.
However, unexpectedly, someone discovered last night that after the token went live, the Ticker project team's address transferred out 254 ETH.
Subsequently, on Warpcast, Ticker's official account reposted a sale record stating, "Just saw this, the airdrop deployer just made a huge mistake. Will share all publicly available information. Sorry for choosing the wrong person to execute this task."
Jesse Pollak, a core contributor and protocol leader at Base, reposted this post with the comment "not based." Previously, Jesse had shared project information with the comment "based."
Even more outrageous, the Ticker official account later posted a screenshot of a Telegram chat among Ticker developers, with the purple text being from the Ticker Warpcast account holder, while the other party is suspected to be another team member. The conversation content shows the left side questioning why the other party did this, stating that all their efforts have been ruined. The other party replied, "Don't panic, take a deep breath. I just drew a DILDO on the price chart."
After this farce, TICKER's price plummeted to zero, effectively a soft rug.
Today, it was discovered that the Ticker project team used a bridge to transfer that money to Solana. Someone tagged on-chain detective ZachXBT, who even dug up the developer's phone number. After some back and forth, the Ticker official account stated they would refund the ETH.
Interestingly, this morning, a meme coin named "DILDO" was also deployed on Base. Although it has also gone to zero, it serves as the perfect footnote to this farce, embodying the spirit of meme coins, which is to mock and dissolve everything.
