ChainCatcher news, according to official sources, the decentralized GPU cloud infrastructure Aethir will launch the public sale of its first network available node, the "Check Node." ATH is the native token of the Aethir network, with 15% of its total supply allocated to reward Check Nodes for helping to verify the uptime, latency, service quality, and computing power provided by other node participants.
100,000 Check Nodes will be publicly sold on the Aethir official website on March 20 at 18:00, with a starting price of 0.1259 ETH per node, increasing incrementally. They can be purchased using wETH on the Arbitrum network, with no purchase limit. The Aethir community, partners, and KOLs will receive reserved whitelist spots, while the remaining limited nodes will be available to the public on a first-come, first-served basis. Checker Nodes can be installed and run in the second quarter of 2024.
It is reported that Aethir is an enterprise-focused distributed GPU cloud service provider that has signed multi-year contracts with the world's largest telecommunications companies, the largest game development studios, 10 AAA games, and the cloud gaming company WellLink, which has over 64 million monthly active users. In July 2023, Aethir completed a Pre-A round of financing with a valuation of $150 million, led by Sanctor Capital, Hashkey, Merit Circle, and CitizenX, with participation from Mirana Ventures, Animoca Brands, Momentum6, Big Brain Holdings, Builder Capital, Tess Ventures, Maelstrom (Arthur Hayes), and Lapin Digital.
