Zerion is developing a zero-cost Layer 2 network
ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, the crypto wallet Zerion is developing an Ethereum Layer 2 network called ZERO Network, which is planned to launch at the end of the second quarter or the beginning of the third quarter this year. Its unique selling point is that the network will be free to use, and the project team hopes to improve the user experience through fee subsidies.
Zerion co-founder Evgeny Yurtaev stated that there should be no fees for users, and Zerion plans to sponsor millions of transactions with tens of thousands of dollars. After the Dencun upgrade, this number is expected to be even lower, and having its own network will enhance Zerion's visibility and bring additional revenue.
When asked about the technology stack on which the Layer 2 network will be based, Yurtaev mentioned that Zerion is working with unspecified partners and will launch once ready, but discussions are still ongoing regarding which data availability layer will be used.
