Data: CME Bitcoin futures open interest exceeds $10 billion, setting a new record

ChainCatcher news, according to CoinDesk, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) has reached a record 28,899 open or active standard futures contracts, with a nominal open contract value of $10.3 billion calculated at a market exchange rate of around $71,500 for Bitcoin, setting a historical high.

Moreover, this figure is also double the peak of $5.2 billion during the 2021 bull market and exceeds the market capitalization of several top 25 cryptocurrencies such as Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash.
