ChainCatcher news, according to Newsis, the Korean National Police Agency announced today that it has sent a telegram to the International Criminal Police Organization Secretariat in the name of the Central Secretariat of the Republic of Korea, stating, "We hope the Secretariat will pay attention and support in order to extradite the subject to Korea." The Korean Ministry of Justice stated, "We have not yet received formal notification from Montenegro. Notification will only be made after the repatriation decision is confirmed. The Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the National Police Agency are working together to obtain the right of repatriation."

Previously, the Montenegro Court of Appeals rejected the extradition decision for Kwon made by the Podgorica High Court on March 5 last month and sent him back to the original court.

It is reported that the Court of Appeals considered that Korea's extradition request was dated March 29 of last year, earlier than the United States' request on April 3.
