ChainCatcher news, Ordinals developer Leonidas posted on social media that the Runestone protocol has begun its auction activity prior to the airdrop. Runestone is currently the largest ordinal inscription calculated by block size, with the highest bid in the auction reaching 0.26 BTC, approximately $17,261.61.

It is reported that the proceeds from this auction will be used to pay the Bitcoin network fees for the Runestone airdrop, and will all go to Bitcoin miners. This project does not include team allocation or presale, and aims to treat all participants fairly through an open-source qualification algorithm, without favoring large holders.
