The "Activate Uniswap Protocol Governance" proposal vote has been initially approved

ChainCatcher news, according to the information on the Snapshot page, the Uniswap "Activate Uniswap Protocol Governance" proposal vote has been initially passed. According to the schedule, the on-chain voting for this proposal will be released on March 8.

If the on-chain vote passes, the community will have the option to enable fees, allowing the Uniswap protocol to automatically collect fees and distribute them to voting UNI token holders, while letting governance control the settings related to fees.

Previously, the Uniswap Foundation released a temperature check proposal for "Activating Uniswap Protocol Governance." This proposal suggests upgrading the protocol, with proposed changes including: 1. Upgrading Uniswap protocol governance to enable permissionless and programmatic collection of protocol fees; 2. Proportionally distributing any protocol fees to UNI token holders who have staked and delegated their voting rights; 3. Allowing governance to continue controlling core parameters: which pools require fees and the size of those fees.
