Anchorage Digital's General Counsel Georgia Quinn has left the company, having helped it obtain its first federal banking license
ChainCatcher news, Anchorage Digital's General Counsel Georgia Quinn has left the company, and there is currently no successor for the position. The Anchorage legal team is now reporting to the Chief Operating Officer. Quinn continues to consult for the company and assist in the search for a successor.
A screenshot of a message posted by Anchorage CEO Nathan McCauley in the company's Slack channel at the end of November last year shows that Georgia Quinn joined the bank as General Counsel in 2020 and played a key role in helping the company obtain the first federal banking charter for a U.S. cryptocurrency company. The message mentioned that Quinn "decided to take some time off."
Quinn told Business Insider that her departure is unrelated to Anchorage's regulatory status and that she is satisfied with her departure, as her team is strengthening compliance programs.
