StarkWare optimizes the STRK token unlocking plan for early contributors and investors, starting in April, with 0.64% unlocked monthly, approximately 64 million tokens

According to ChainCatcher news, StarkWare has announced adjustments to the STRK token unlocking plan for its early contributors and investors. Under the original plan, approximately 1.3 billion tokens (about one-third of the total) held by these early participants were expected to unlock on April 15. However, after reviewing recent community feedback, StarkWare has decided to make the unlocking schedule more gradual.

The revised new plan is as follows: the originally planned 13.4% (134 million tokens) to unlock on April 15 will be adjusted to only unlock 0.64% (64 million tokens). Subsequently, 0.64% (64 million tokens) will be unlocked each month until March 15, 2025, after which 1.27% (127 million tokens) will be unlocked each month for the next 24 months, until March 15, 2027. By the end of 2024, the amount of tokens unlocked for early contributors and investors will decrease from the originally planned 2 billion to 580 million. By the end of 2025, an additional 1.4 billion tokens will gradually unlock, followed by another 1.5 billion by the end of 2026, and 380 million will unlock by March 15, 2027.
