Data: MetaMask's monthly active users exceed 30 million, approaching a historical high
ChainCatcher news, according to Blockworks, the crypto wallet MetaMask has reported a 55% increase in its monthly active users over the past four months, rising from 19 million in September to over 30 million in January. Its current number of active users is nearly equivalent to the peak number of active users during the last bull market (31.7 million).
In addition, MetaMask announced that it will now default to activating the Web3 security tool Blockaid for multiple blockchains including Polygon, Arbitrium, Optimism, Avalanche, BNB Chain, and Linea. Blockaid automatically sends alerts to users about potential malicious transactions, including those related to phishing attempts, scams, and hacking attacks.
