Lava has previously raised $15 million in seed funding and plans to launch its mainnet in the first half of the year. It has now launched the Magma points reward program.

On February 15, modular blockchain infrastructure developer Lava Network announced the completion of a $15 million seed round financing, led by Jump Capital, Hashkey Capital, and Tribe Capital, with participation from North Island Ventures, Dispersion Capital, Alliance DAO, Finality Capital Partners, and others. Executives from blockchain projects such as Celestia, Cosmos, StarkWare, and Filecoin also participated in this round of financing.

After Celestia and Dymension ignited the heat in the modular blockchain track, Lava Network, as a new modular data network, has also attracted community attention. Although Celestia and Dymension focus on data availability, settlement, and consensus; Rollups also need an access layer, which is exactly Lava's goal: to allow developers and users to send and retrieve data from any blockchain.

Lava Network is currently still in the testnet phase and plans to launch its mainnet in the first half of this year. Before the mainnet goes live, Lava has launched the "Magma" points reward program. Users can earn Magma points by switching their RPC connections to Lava. Below, Rhythm BlockBeats has organized and translated the ways to participate in the points reward program based on official documentation.

How to Earn Points?

First, switch your wallet network to a network that supports Lava. It is important to note that currently, Lava only provides points to wallet users using its extended infrastructure on Ethereum, NEAR, Evmos, Starknet, and Axelar. Lava prioritizes blockchains and Rollups that use incentivized public RPC extended infrastructure.

The specific steps are as follows:

1. Click on Lava's points website: points.lavanet.xyz, you will need an invitation code: SKVPL

Then link your wallet, join the official Discord and follow Twitter. If you do not wish to join and follow, you can choose to skip this step (Skip for Now)

After completing the above steps, we will enter the following page. Here we choose the network we want to interact with, and the official also provided some invitation codes. Everyone can promote through their own channels, and the invitation code should also increase points. In this article, I will also provide my own invitation code for everyone; feel free to use it if needed:

Near (Mainnet): https://near.lava.build/lava-referer-f97f996a-c3de-424a-afc6-00685b7ce863/

Starknet (Mainnet): https://rpc.starknet.lava.build/lava-referer-f97f996a-c3de-424a-afc6-00685b7ce863/

ETH: https://eth1.lava.build/lava-referer-f97f996a-c3de-424a-afc6-00685b7ce863/

AXELAR (Mainnet): https://tm.axelar.lava.build/lava-referer-f97f996a-c3de-424a-afc6-00685b7ce863/

Evmos (MetaMask): https://evmos.lava.build/lava-referer-f97f996a-c3de-424a-afc6-00685b7ce863/

2. Next, we open the wallet linked in the first step and replace the RPC URL in the wallet with the URL powered by Lava on NEAR, Starknet, Evmos, Axelar, and Ethereum.

Every time you open or use the wallet (for example, checking balance, making transactions, interacting with dapps), the wallet needs to make an RPC call. All you need to do is replace the RPC URL in your wallet with the RPC provided in your Lava points account.

For specific operations, we will take Metamask and Evmos as examples:

1) Open the wallet, go to Settings → Networks

2) Select Evmos

3) Replace "New RPC URL" with the relevant RPC link provided in our points dashboard: https://evmos.lava.build, and click Save.

3. Use the wallet and dapps as usual to earn points, including any operations such as simply checking wallet balance and making transactions.

Tip: To earn more points, it is recommended to try binding the chains you frequently interact with. For example, I might often browse Cosmos and Ethereum chains, so I will replace these two networks with Lava's RPC URL.

4. After that, you can interact normally and check your points ranking at any time.

5. Additionally, remember to share your referral code on social media to earn more points.

Referrals, Rewards, and Retroactive Points

Referrals:

Users can earn points through referrals. You will receive 10% of the points earned by the users you refer, and this will not be deducted from their points.

For example:

You refer user A, and user A earns 1000 points per week, then you will earn an additional 100 points each week, while user A's total points remain unaffected.

Wallet Partners:

Anyone using Lava with one of Lava's wallet partners will earn reward points. We will initially collaborate with Sender Wallet on NEAR, and more partners will join in the future.

Retroactive Points:

Lava thanks everyone who contributed to its test network before February 15. Anyone using Lava on-chain will be retroactively measured.

The last snapshot of Lava was taken at 4 PM UTC on February 15. More snapshots may be taken in the future.
