Polygon Labs collaborates with Toposware to develop a new Type 1 zkEVM prover
ChainCatcher news, Polygon Labs announced a partnership with Toposware to develop a new Type 1 zkEVM prover.
It is reported that the Type 1 zkEVM prover allows any network compatible with the Ethereum EVM standard to become a Layer 2 network supported by zero-knowledge proofs and connect to the broader Polygon network ecosystem. The Type 1 zkEVM prover is even capable of generating these ZK proofs for Ethereum mainnet blocks, with an average cost of 0.002-0.003 USD per transaction. The Type 1 prover is open source and available on GitHub, licensed under MIT and Apache 2.0.
