The United States plans to dispose of $117 million worth of Bitcoin seized in the Silk Road law enforcement operation
ChainCatcher news indicates that a notification submitted by U.S. officials shows plans to handle nearly 2,875 bitcoins seized from Ryan Farace and Sean Bridges during law enforcement actions against the dark web Silk Road, valued at approximately $117 million.
It is reported that the U.S. Department of Justice charged the suspect Farace (also known as Xanaxman) in 2018 for selling illegal goods on the dark web and seized the related funds in 2021.
