ChainCatcher news, according to Cointelegraph, CBDC ban advocate Ron DeSantis announced his withdrawal from the U.S. presidential race and pledged to support former U.S. President Donald Trump.

It is reported that Ron DeSantis stated during his first campaign event that if elected, he would ban the potential issuance of a digital dollar. Trump has also taken the same stance, recently promising in a campaign speech in New Hampshire to "never allow" the Federal Reserve to create a CBDC.
