ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, the Ethereum Layer 2 scaling project Taiko has announced the launch of its final testnet Katla, with the mainnet expected to be released by the end of the first quarter of 2024.
It is reported that the Katla testnet is the sixth testnet for Taiko developers, introducing a new convolution design—multi-proof based contestable rollup, which combines elements of Optimistic and Zero-Knowledge Rollups (ZK-rollups). Taiko is a ZK-EVM (Type-1) compatible with Ethereum, offering the same level of compatibility as the Ethereum mainnet.
