Data: In 2023, 407 blockchain games ceased operation, accounting for 31%

ChainCatcher message, created by Jon Jordan's Big Blockchain Game List, shows that among the 1322 blockchain games listed in 2023, 407 have already ceased operations, accounting for 31%.

Among the 407 closed games, most were shut down in the first half of last year: 248 games were closed in the first half of 2023, while 162 games were closed in the second half. Of the games closed in the second half of 2023, 50 games (31%) had already launched, while the remaining 69% were still in development at the time of closure.

There were 18 games closed on the BNB chain, the highest number among mainstream chains, followed closely by Polygon with 17 games closed. In the second half of 2023, 10 blockchain games were closed on Ethereum, and 9 games were closed on both Sui and Solana. (CryptoSlate)
