Data: Tether's stablecoin market share surged to 71% in 2023
ChainCatcher news, according to data from The Block, the market share of USDT issuer Tether in the global stablecoin supply increased from 50% to 71% in 2023, with the circulating supply of USDT stablecoins exceeding 95 billion.
Currently, Tether's main competitor, Circle, has only 27 billion of its dollar stablecoin (USDC) in circulation, down from over 48 billion at the beginning of 2023.
