Vitalik proposed to raise the Ethereum network's gas limit to 40 million

ChainCatcher news, according to Cointelegraph, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin suggested raising the Ethereum network's Gas limit to 40 million during his AMA session on Reddit to improve network throughput.

Vitalik stated that the Gas limit has not been increased for nearly three years, which is the longest period in Ethereum's history. According to Etherscan data, the current Gas limit is 30 million, meaning it would increase by 33%.
