ChainCatcher news, the South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Upbit Singapore has obtained a Major Payment Institution license issued by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), allowing Upbit Singapore to expand its digital asset business standards under Singapore's regulations.

Previously, it was reported that Upbit Singapore received in-principle approval for the Major Payment Institution license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). Upbit Singapore will join the regulated digital asset exchange group operated by Upbit APAC. Upbit APAC includes regulated digital asset exchanges in Indonesia and Thailand.
