BRC20 founder comments on UniSat's compliance with the Jubilee upgrade: hopes the BRC20 community will reject UniSat's fork
ChainCatcher message, BRC20 founder Domo forwarded UniSat's post stating that it will comply with the Jubilee upgrade and expressed: "Given the serious consequences and valuations involved, I believe that the rushed rollout of these updates to BRC20 is reckless, ignoring their peer indexers, and could potentially harm the overall interests of the BRC20 user community. The 0.8/0.9 incident highlights the complexity of integrating new updates into the BRC20 standard. While I am eager to implement protocol improvements, it is clear that these changes may be unsafe without a robust testing, coordination, and validation infrastructure being built. Furthermore, the timing and pending incentive structures indicate that this is not just a one-time, tech-driven action by Unisat, but rather a thoughtful, ongoing strategy to control the protocol."
Domo further stated: "L1Fxyz, a non-profit foundation dedicated to ensuring that the BRC20 standard remains free from centralized corporate control, is currently maintaining an indexer with the explicit intention of ensuring the safety of all funds within BRC20 assets. We jointly urge the entire BRC20 community to reject the fork proposed by Unisat and support a non-profit, security-first approach to maintaining the protocol."
